Ghostbar is a macOS menu bar AI client invisible to screen sharing. Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS, QuickTime — nobody sees it but you. Uses NSWindow.sharingType =none to remove the window from macOS's compositor before any recorder touches it. Hey PH! 👋 I'm Ricardo, the solo developer behind Ghostbar. I built this because I wanted to use local LLMs (Ollama) during work calls without it being visible on screen share — and every existing tool was either $20+/month or a 200MB Electron app. The invisibility is one native AppKit call: NSWindow.sharingType = .none. This removes the window from macOS's display compositor before Zoom, OBS, or any capture API sees it. No hacks — a documented public API.
