Answer trivia questions with geographical locations instead of text. Players tap a globe and are scored based on distance. Every answer unlocks a story about the location. There's currently 3 games on one engine. GeoSports, GeoHistory, GeoFooty. All players receive the same questions daily and share scores with friends. Example below: GeoSports ยท September 3rd 887 / 1,000 ๐๐๐ข๐ก๐ก www.geosports.app There are web versions for each game as well. In total we have roughly 75k unique players per day

I'm Frank. I've spent the last 6 years creating sports commentary videos. I've built an audience of over 3.5 million followers across socials, but for most of that time I've wanted to build something more durable than content.
GeoSports started as a weekend project. The whole thesis was: I love maps, I love sports and who knows...maybe some people like both. Really, I wanted to test my vibe coding skills and find out whether a game like this was buildable by one person in a weekend. Turns out it was, and I was not alone in loving sports and maps. The web app surged to 150,000 unique players in its first week. I shelved a different game I had been building for a year and went all in.
The key feature that kept us afloat (without any retention loops installed) was 'Share Score'. A shocking 53% of players share their score. The web app has now had over 15 million rounds played and of them came without players being prompted by an email or push notification. Very sticky stuff!
GeoGames mobile app is now 3 games on one engine. There's GeoSports, GeoHistory and GeoFooty. I'll add GeoScreen (TV & film) and GeoNews soon.
