I’m Victor, and I’m really excited to finally unveil GemsAround. Today’s launch brings our latest platform improvements together with our brand-new iOS & Android apps.
The idea started from a simple frustration we kept hitting every time we traveled.
We discover places through reels and short-form videos on Instagram and TikTok… but when it’s time to actually plan the trip, everything becomes chaos: saved posts, screenshots, bookmarks, Google Maps tabs, blog articles, and somehow the plan still doesn’t feel personal.
We felt there had to be a better way, something built for how we actually discover places today.
Over the past year we pivoted multiple times, validated early versions at WebSummit, joined several programs, and were honored to be nominated for Startup of the Year at the Resilience & Innovation Summit.
We’re building from Moldova 🇲🇩, operating across Europe, and slowly expanding further.
So what does GemsAround do?
You discover places through visual content, see them instantly on an interactive map, and generate optimized itineraries in seconds. Instead of jumping between 5 apps, you go from inspiration → mapped places → structured plan in one flow.
We’re seeing strong interest from digital nomads, city-break travelers, conference attendees with limited time, and even tourism boards and event organizers.
We’re still early and launching here because we want real feedback and your help populating the map with amazing locations. (It would mean the World to us)
