Stop searching, start spinning. Meet GeCoM. Hi everyone! As a collector, I was fed up with two things: the clunky, dated interface of most databases and that frustrating moment when you can’t remember which shelf you tucked a specific record into. That’s why I built GeCoM. It’s not just a list; it’s a digital mirror of your physical room. Here’s how it changes the game: Discogs Sync: Import your entire library in one click. No manual pain. Shelf Mapping: Map your actual room and assign every album to its physical home. Never lose a record again. Chromatic Interface: Colour-coded formats for instant recognition (Green/Vinyl, Blue/CD, Orange/Cassettes, Pink/Reel-to-reel). Jukebox Coverflow: A stunning, touch-friendly carousel to browse your art—perfect for tablets and mobile. The Swap Meet: A dedicated space to barter your duplicates or unwanted copies with other collectors. No business, just pure music exchange. Guest Access: Try it instantly with pre-loaded demo data. No sign-up wall, no friction. Built on Replit for speed, security and simplicity. If you have a bulky collection and need to reclaim your space, I’d love for you to take it for a spin. Check it out here: https://gecomusic.com Would love to hear your feedback—what’s the one feature your collection is still screaming for?

A quick note on Discogs Sync

I want to be transparent about how the data import works. GeCoM uses the free Discogs API, which has specific rate limits on how many requests can be processed per minute.

Because of this, the sync is "single-thread": the system handles one user at a time. If multiple people are importing their collections, your request will be placed in a queue and executed in the order it was received.

If it takes a moment, don't worry—the app isn't stuck, it's just waiting for its turn. This "slow and steady" approach allows me to keep the tool free and respectful of the API limits. Thanks for your patience.
