I'm excited to announce the launch of GateTap, a modern iPhone interface designed specifically for compatible web-managed access control systems! I built this app because I wanted a simpler way for controlling the doors & gates in my home. The web interface of my network based access control system was just too cumbersome and too slow. By the time I had it together, the parcel delivery person would be long gone... GateTap replaces outdated web pages with a fast, touch-optimized experience designed for iPhone. It connects directly to compatible access controllers in your home network. Once you have stored your credentials (only saved on your device), the app will connect automatically and instantly every time. You just have to push one button to let visitors in! I'm inviting feedback and questions from the community to help improve the app. In the future I would love to extend support to other access control boards and I need feedback for achieving this.
