Gamify Your Life

Hi Product Hunt! 🎉 So excited to be here sharing this huge collaborative project from the Co-x3 Family (@thex3family). We're a community of co-creators and collaborators that want to effect positive change in the world. We felt frustrated that so many of our generation default to escaping into fantasy worlds like games, social media, and tv shows when we could level up in real life. There's been many applications that have tried to gamify productivity, but they fall short in customizability and capacity to map out long-term goals. So, after researching for decades on the science behind how our mind works and ways to hack it to do what we want, we started #theGamificationProject in November 2019 for our family, friends, and community. The goal was simple - to make work fun, live our best lives, and start a global movement. Since then, we've continuously improved the project, with the latest update being the Tutorial Island and Enchanted Forest; two immersive storylines that convert conventional knowledge (Building A Second Brain, GTD, Atomic Habits, etc.), and more into actionable steps we can follow. I have been a big fan of Conrad and the Co-x3 communities' gamification templates for a while. I initially stumbled onto this project in August 2020. Compared to more simplistic apps like Habitica, I love how these templates structure goals, key results, projects, and tasks/quests. A lot of thought and love went into making this system. Plus, the community has been very welcoming and open to new ideas from what I have seen and experienced. If you are a student or someone who is interested in making the more mundane parts of life fun and/or interested in living their lives in a more holistic manner, I would highly recommend checking out this project.

?makers Congrats on launching! You said "Product will be free for now". Whats your plan to monetize the product then? To lock in users early on and then they have to upgrade :/? Or to grandfather them :)? I am always very careful about "free" products.
