Hi everyone!
I'd like to introduce fx gnosis, my forex session simulator. A session is a real trading day from the past, with the news that came out at the time. It runs from the London open to the New York close. The main goal is to let you practice trading a specific release, like CPI, NFP or a rate decision, before you trade the next one live. It works for scalping and intraday.
Technical side:
1. Quotes (ticks!) were recorded from real broker accounts, so around a release the spread widens just as it did that day.
2. You can choose between three account types: Standard, ECN and Dynamic. They differ in spread, leverage and commission.
3. News comes from public sources: statistical agencies and central banks.
4. The terminal is our own, built on TradingView's charting library.
5. You trade in the browser, desktop only for now. A mobile version will come later. Registration is optional. All you need is a nickname and a password. There are no paid features.
Features:
1. Sessions are picked around major news releases. You only find out the date when the run is over.
2. You can choose the session length within the London to New York window.
3. Available pairs: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, XAU/USD.
4. Before each session there's a briefing with that week's news and the chart from Monday. Challenges show what it takes to earn Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum.
5. Starting deposit is $2,000. Up to five positions at once. Trade size is fixed at 1 lot, or 0.05 for gold.
6. Basic indicators and drawing tools. Playback goes up to x20, and "1x on news" brings it back to normal speed when a release comes out. You can end a session early.
7. After the run you get a review with stats, trades and the real date. Results and trophies are saved to your profile, and the calendar shows each completed session on its real date.
