Frens.my

Hey PH 👋 This one is for the NFT crowd, specifically Solana NFTs. Frens.my is a tiny web app that hosts a world map displaying the geolocation of participating users. You can join in and see yourself on the map by connecting your wallet, enabling location services, and selecting your favourite NFT that you hold as your avatar. Check out where your fellow NFT degens are from on the map! ✨ I actually developed an initial version of Frens.my while attending the Solana Breakpoint convention in Singapore earlier this September, but I never managed to ship it before the convention ended as I had originally intended. So I spent a little more time scaling it up from a mapping just the event venue, to the entire world! 🌏 But Frens.my really shines when it's used for IRL events. For example: A web3 convention with thousands of attendees; the map on the app is auto-zoomed in on the venue; get enough people to hop on the app with you on their mobile device, and suddenly the map is swarming with avatars; find fellow holders of NFT communities you're a part of at the venue, call them over with the live chat, and have a ball! Hey @lefrost, This is such an innovative way to bring the global NFT community closer together! 🌍 The idea of visualizing where fellow Solana NFT holders are located and representing collections with avatars adds a unique layer of connection and fun. It's awesome to hear that Frens.my was born out of the Solana Breakpoint convention in Singapore. Scaling it up to encompass the entire world is a brilliant move!
