When I searched for freecad in here I was shocked. No one had hunted it.
Perhaps mechanical engineering is niche here, nonetheless FreeCAD deserves to be seen and appreciated. They work tirelessly to provide open source Parametric modeling capabilities, FEA capabilities, and much more.
I've used Freecad for a while and I come from the solidworks school of things, they are taking massive leaps in UX refinement and the software is getting consistently better.
While commercial products often lock us into an ecosystem, FreeCAD goes against the grain.
