Frames is a native app that turns Apple device screenshots and screen recordings into device mockups on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Choose from a wide range of device frames, customize backgrounds and layouts, save reusable presets, organize projects into Groups, and use Quick Frame to frame and save your latest screenshot. Frames also includes high-resolution exports, multi-device layouts, Shortcuts, Control Center and Lock Screen controls, iCloud sync, and plenty more.
I originally started building Frames because I wanted a simpler way to frame screenshots and screen recordings without having to jump between different tools. There are already some great apps in this space, but as I worked on it, I realized I wanted something that went beyond simply putting a screenshot inside an iPhone frame.
Frames grew into a place to actually keep and work with those screenshots. Projects stay around after you create them, Groups let you organize related projects and carry the same style across them, and presets make it easy to reuse a look. In addition to all that Quick Frame (probably the most essential feature) can take your latest screenshot and frame it from the app, Lock Screen, or Control Center and save it to your camera roll.
I also wanted it to feel at home on Apple platforms, so Frames is a native app across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with iCloud sync, Shortcuts, Share Sheet support, and 265 frames covering everything from iPhone and iPad to Mac, Apple Watch, and Studio Display and all their finishes.
One of my favorite things is screen recording support. You can frame them just like screenshots with all the same customization and export the result as a video or GIF.
Most of Frames is free, including every device frame. Frames Pro is a $19.99 one-time purchase for full-resolution exports, video and GIF exports, batch import/export, and multi-device layouts. No subscription.
This is the first public release, and I’d love to hear what you think. If you try Frames, let me know what works, what doesn’t, or what you’d like to see next!
