Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built FormRecap because of a gap I kept seeing in the JAMstack/static site world.
Shopify and the big ecommerce platforms solved cart abandonment years ago — recovery emails that bring people back to finish checkout. But if you're running a contact form or lead gen form on a regular website? When someone fills in half the fields and leaves, that lead is just gone.
I was explaining this idea to my wife at a coffee shop and before I even finished she said: "That's a real problem. At work we run ads but have no idea what happens after someone clicks." That's when I knew it was worth building.
FormRecap is a tiny script (2.7KB) you add to any site. It watches form interactions in the background, and when someone abandons a form, they get a recovery email with a magic link that restores every field exactly where they left off. One click to finish.
The whole thing runs on Cloudflare's edge — no heavy servers, no containers. Privacy was a priority from day one: sensitive fields (passwords, credit cards, SSNs) are excluded by default, field data is encrypted per-customer, and it respects Do Not Track.
There's a free tier so you can try it without commitment. I'd love to hear what you think — and if you try the demo on the site, let me know how the recovery flow feels!
