Most Korean tools force a bad trade-off. Either grind isolated flashcards (Anki) or tap through gamified lessons that never teach the vocabulary you need for real content (Duolingo). ForeignPage closes that gap: you read real Korean, and the words you learn feed a spaced-repetition system automatically. Reading and memory reinforce each other instead of being two separate chores.

cool idea, what would make a user try this instead of duolingo?
@mjohnson42 Hey Matt! Duolingo has a lot going for it on the marketing and gamification sides, which I think ForeignPage has a long way to still go on of course. What ForeignPage has that Duo doesn't is a set of features that are specifically designed for actual, long term language acquisition. Unfortuanately, most people leave Duo with regret that they could have spent all their time and years using a real learning method instead of maintaining a streak. The goal with ForeignPage is to have a streak that you can turn into something tangible. That goal is still not fully realized but is the direction we're moving in!
Would love a "today's reading" digest that pulls 5 short articles matched to words due in my SRS queue, so review and new exposure happen in the same session instead of me hunting for content myself.
@kuzeyatmac1qeh Love this! Will get on it asap
learning vocab directly from articles i was already reading actually stuck with me way better than flashcards, didn't expect that
