Hi everyone, I’m David Cohen, co-founder of Techstars which is one of the largest seed investors in the world with over 3,400 investments to date. I first met Steven Plappert back in 2015 when he took his first startup, FantasyHub, through our Techstars Austin accelerator. Steven’s a great guy and an amazing leader, so I was thrilled when he and his co-founder Logan Burchett decided to apply for the Techstars Anywhere program in 2020 with Forecastr. It’s been great watching these guys do their thing. They’ve built a strong product, and an even stronger team. Forecastr gives you a smooth interface that makes financial modeling easy. But what really sets them apart from the pack is their support. They have a team of professional analysts that work with every founder to make sure their financial model is rock-solid and ready for fundraising on day one. Their approach is all about educating founders. And they’re doing such a good job that we’ve actually brought them in to run the financial modeling curriculum for many of our cohorts. That educational approach, combined with the great support, has generated some really solid traction in the market. Over 600 customers, and over 200 Techstars companies use Forecastr. I’m excited to be a part of Forecastr’s official launch out of Beta. I’m expecting to see some big results from this team over the next few years!

Congratulations Logan and Steven. I just dug way back in my calendar and saw that Monday, December 9th 2019 was my first meeting with the Forecastr team, back when they had the email addresses @financialmodel.io... Four+ years goes pretty fast. We have a huge audience of startup founders and Steven and Logan were itching to get their "soon to launch" beta in front of some early adopters. It would be more than 2 years before we did our first event together. Between then, however, Logan and Steven updated me every month via email and checked in quarterly with a quick call. They were always sharing progress and addressing setbacks. I could see they were building a company with deliberate intention in an era when hype was ruling the airwaves. Those are the kind of startups I love; the ones in it for the long game and not just the latest hype-cycle. When they were finally ready with their first beta, we were happy to share their efforts and expertise with our founders. Since that first event we've been doing them monthly with all-time-high attendance growing and growing. Every founder I've sent their way has come back with glowing reviews—even if they were not even ready for their product. It's a great product and a better team. Hey there! I recently heard about Forecastr and I have to say, I'm really impressed with what they're offering.
