How does it actually pull the news, and can I connect my own RSS feeds or is it locked to your sources?
@smeyyebiicvztb Great question, Sümeyye.
Right now, Fomoless pulls news from a curated set of sources and organizes them by category so users can catch up quickly without jumping between multiple feeds.
Custom RSS feeds are not available yet, but that is definitely one of the next features I want to explore.
So for now, it uses our sources — but the long-term goal is not to lock users in. It’s to give them more control over what they want to follow, without bringing back the noise.
How does the curation actually work under the hood, and are the sources you pull from configurable or fully managed on your end?
@devranzalpkib4 Great question, Devran.
Right now, the curation is managed on our end. Fomoless pulls from a curated set of sources, then normalizes the articles, groups them by category, removes noise/duplicates, and presents them in a cleaner format so it’s easier to catch up.
The sources are not configurable by users yet. For this first version, I wanted to keep the experience simple and make sure the default feed feels useful before opening up source customization.
Long term, configurable sources would make a lot of sense, especially for people who already have trusted feeds they follow.
Love how clean the category layout is here, makes scanning for AI and tech updates feel effortless instead of overwhelming.
