I have used this feature, and it works very well. I can confirm that it works for slanted and angled 3d text. Pretty amazing.

I have been using FlyScreen since its inception. In that time, I have been able to manage thousands of photos. I love the tagging feature, the copying of ocr text, and the fact that it is all done on the device. Over the last couple of years, the app has some issues. Slow processing, lack of support email, and now I can't see what images are tagged while the images are being processed.
A couple things to ask of the developers (things I've tried to email them about)
Are you still developing the app, or at least maintaining it?
Will there ever be any optimizations and performance improvements for older devices?
