FinTech Lite

FinTech Lite

Private finance tools. No login. No bank linking.

Most finance apps demand your bank logins and a share of your data. FinTech Lite is the antidote. It's a suite of three privacy-first financial tools (Debt Destroyer, Freelancer Tracker, Subscription Auditor) that run 100% in your browser. We use Local Storage to save your progress, so your financial data never touches our servers. No sign-up. No bank linking. Just simple, powerful math to help you visualise your money in private. (Mathematical models for illustration only, not financial advice)

Hi Product Hunt! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™m Michael, the maker behind FinTech Lite.

I built this because I hit a wall with personal finance apps. I wanted to visualize my debt payoff plan and track my freelance income, but every "free" app demanded the same two things:

  1. My bank login credentials (huge security risk ๐Ÿ›‘)

  2. My personal data (to sell to advertisers)

The only private alternative was Excel, but trying to pinch-and-zoom a spreadsheet on an iPhone is a nightmare.

So I built the middle ground: A suite of financial tools with the UX of an app but the privacy of a spreadsheet.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ How it keeps you safe (The Tech Part): There is no database. Seriously. We use your browserโ€™s Local Storage.

  • The math happens on your device.

  • The data stays on your device.

  • If you clear your cache, the data is gone. We never see it.

๐Ÿš€ The Tools (No Sign-Up Required):

  • Debt Destroyer: Visually compare Snowball vs. Avalanche payoff methods side-by-side.

  • Freelancer Tracker: Log irregular income and automatically calculate your "Tax Reserve" set-aside.

  • Subscription Auditor: Input your recurring costs to see your total "Monthly Burn."

๐Ÿ™ What I need from you: Iโ€™m keeping this 100% free (ad-supported) to maintain the "no login" promise. I would love your feedback on the trust factor:

  • Does the "Local Storage" explanation make you feel secure?

  • Is the "Debt Destroyer" visualization clear enough to replace your spreadsheet?

Let me know what you think! ๐Ÿ‘‡
