fileAI gives developers structured, zero-shot data from any file, with built-in fraud checks to surface signals of tampering and AI-generated content. Built for LLMs and AI agents, our AI data extraction is optimised for performance, transforming unstructured files into clean, enriched, and validated data, ready for downstream automation via configurable UI, developer portal, API or MCP.

fileForensics
Launched this week
fileForensics is a trust check for every file your app or agent acts on. Extraction tells you what a document says; fileForensics tells you whether to believe it.
It looks for signs of editing, AI-generated content, tampering and details that don’t add up, then returns findings with the evidence: what, where and why. No black-box score. All delivered in one call and works via API, MCP (Claude, Cursor, Codex), the developer portal and the fileAI platform.
Check the file before you trust the data.

Had good chat with the team and was impressed! Just a quick question on its capability to filter documents and flag out for review: Does it kick out any document types? if yes, any examples?
@aashaletchumy
Hi Aasha, it works with PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and images including HEIC and WebP. GIF and XLSM aren't currently accepted.
@aashaletchumy
Some checks only apply to certain formats and report skip on the rest. Password-protected Office files are skipped for example.
@jason_williamson_fileai Noted with thanks
@shubhanshi_jangid1 what happens if someone modifies a document metadata without changing it’s visible content ?
@dipanshu_kushwaha5 Great question! Metadata edits usually leave traces even when the page looks identical. We check whether timestamps and the file’s history are consistent, which software last saved the file, whether earlier versions are still saved inside it, and whether a digital signature still covers the whole file. Each finding shows what changed and where. A very careful edit can leave nothing behind, so we report evidence rather than claim a file is clean.
Heard you guys have done a pretty good job in this front. What are the data points it checks on?
Helloo, may I know what's not working yet? and what should I not expect from this today?
Just used this in CODEX and it worked like a charm, great job team @fileAI
@christian__schneider Thanks, Christian! So good to see it working in Codex. Sign up with SSO and you’re set up in a few minutes! docs.file.ai/mcp/connect
Hey guys, congrats on the launch! I work at fileAI and wanted to ask how is this different from Reducto or LlamaParse for extraction, why would I add this then?
@marcus_chia3123
Because an accurate extraction of an edited invoice is still an edited invoice. Extraction tells you what a document says, not whether to believe it.
@marcus_chia3123
You don't have to switch though to make the most of fileForensics. You can run it on its own with storage only and keep your existing extraction tool. We'd obviously want people to put us to the test to see if our data extraction is a level up on their existing providers, or whether our configurable workflows mean you can do more with your data without having to export to 'another' system.
@jason_williamson_fileai I see, thank you for explaining! This is definitely very helpful and puts things into perspective clearly
This is truly gems! The new trend is getting AI to create AI agent.
FileAI is using AI to investigate AI !
Amazing~
@sir_raymond_tan Thank you, Raymond! “AI investigating AI” is the perfect way to put it. Fighting fire with fire, Would love to hear what you think once you try it!
@shubhanshi_jangid1 Gonna refer this to my finance team!
