Felt is a focus timer that removes the screen from the equation. Most focus apps want you to look at them—check progress, maintain streaks. Felt does the opposite. Long press to start. Put your phone down. Work. Feel a gentle haptic when it's time to rest. Nothing to see. Six haptic rhythms—from calm Heartbeat to precise Mechanical. These are patterns, not sounds. Core features free. Pro unlock ($1.99) adds 5 styles. No subscription.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm the maker of Felt, and I'm excited (and a bit nervous) to share it with you today.
## Why I built this
Last fall, I deleted all my focus apps. Not because they were bad — they were actually really good at what they did. I deleted them because I realized I was spending more time checking "how long I've focused" than actually focusing.
Every 25 minutes, I'd open the app: How many hours today? Did I beat last week? Will my streak break? Then I'd spend 5 minutes adjusting tomorrow's goals and another 5 minutes checking if anyone shared their focus stats on social media.
I thought I was managing time. Actually, I was managing anxiety.
## What makes Felt different
Felt doesn't tell you anything. No countdown, no stats, no streaks. Once you start, there's nothing to check.
Instead, it uses **six different haptic patterns** — each with its own rhythm and intensity. You choose one based on how you want to feel during your work session.
When it's time to rest, you'll feel the reminder. That's it.
## What I'm proud of
- **No streaks, leaderboards, or re-engagement nudges**. Felt won't guilt-trip you into coming back.
- **No notifications**. Felt doesn't send you push notifications asking you to start a session.
- **One-time purchase**. Core features are free. Pro is $1.99 forever, no subscription.
## What I'd love feedback on
I kept Felt intentionally minimal, but I'm curious:
- Is there a feature you immediately missed?
- Did the "no countdown" feel liberating or frustrating?
- Which haptic persona did you choose, and why?
Thanks for checking it out! 🙏

Long press to start with a haptic-only flow is genuinely clever, finally a focus timer that respects the whole point of focusing. One thing I'd love: a quiet "how much time left" pulse you can summon by tapping the screen once mid-session, so you can sanity check without breaking the spell. Could even reuse one of the existing rhythms at a different intensity so it stays consistent with the no-look philosophy.

@mentalheal Thanks! The "no time left" design is intentional. The longer you hold, the more time you set (up to 90 minutes). The idea: work by feel, not by clock.
If you're checking time, you're not focused. Trust the haptic to tell you when to rest — no numbers, no anxiety, no interruption.
I hear you on the sanity-check tap though. Will keep thinking about how to add that without breaking the philosophy.
