🔭 There’s so much good content - if you just know where to look 🔭 Content discovery is fundamentally broken. I came to this conclusion when I moved from North Carolina to attend Stanford. We like to think that education happens inside a classroom, but mine occurred in a group chat. I discovered the writings of Paul Graham, Nir Eyal and Eugene Wei through blue hyperlinks sent by new friends. I started reading Stratechery (which to this day, I still don’t know how to pronounce). As my content diet evolved, my mental models did too. Tim Urban helped me appreciate how little time I had left to spend with my parents... so I began to treat them with a little more kindness and grace. John Gottman gave me language to navigate conflict… so I deepened connections with those that I love. I developed healthier, happier & more effective ways of thinking. Upon graduating, I realized that I had always had access to this information in North Carolina. I just didn’t know where to find it or who to ask. The Ivory Tower wasn’t heavily guarded. I just needed a map to find it. There’s so much good content - if you just know where to look. At Faves, we’re on a mission to help people find it. Our model?
