I know you've been waiting for this, @davefontenot. Splitting Groups into its own app makes a lot of sense. It always felt like a "second class citizen" on mobile.

Interesting idea! But I don't see how "discover" is relevant to me.
Is this just a dedicated app on top of the existing FB Groups feature?

Haven't downloaded it yet as I'm temporarily off the Facebook juice, but this is a neat idea. A lot of volunteer and activist groups use Facebook Groups to coordinate, and this should stem the risk of their migrating to non-Facebook platforms for that activity as Facebook's primary app isn't really designed for that use case.
Good to see Facebook paying some attention to groups. They're the biggest reason I still use Facebook. Will be interested to see if they actually develop it any further and add some business tools to it.
