Generate images with Stable Diffusion

ExoGen is a desktop app that prioritizes ease of setup and local-first workflows over maximum configurability. It automatically handles the Python backend and dependencies, offers in-app model downloads, and provides opinionated defaults so users can generate images locally without touching the command line.

Hey everyone 👋 I'm the solo dev behind ExoGen. I built this because I've been running Stable Diffusion locally for a while and kept feeling that the setup friction (Python, environments, CUDA quirks) was higher than it needed to be for most people. ExoGen isn't trying to replace A1111 or ComfyUI. Those tools are great. The goal here is simply to make local image generation feel more like a normal desktop app: install, open, generate, everything stays on your machine. It's still early, and I'm actively figuring out what's actually worth building next. If you've tried it (or even just skimmed it), I'd really love to hear: - What feels useful? - What feels unnecessary? and what would make you not use it Appreciate any feedback, good or bad, it genuinely helps shape where this goes 🙏
