Essara helps users find hidden money leaks before they drain the month. Add subscriptions, UPI AutoPay items, OTT plans, app renewals, and recurring expenses, then see monthly/yearly cost, likely waste, and what to cancel, review, or keep. No bank connection required — start with a free manual leak check, then track reminders and money insights in the app.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Eswar, the maker of Essara.
I built Essara because small recurring payments become invisible: ₹99 here, ₹199 there, OTT plans, app renewals, UPI AutoPay, memberships, tools, and random monthly charges.
Most finance apps start with budgeting. I wanted to start one step earlier: find the leaks first.
Essara is an India-first money leak detector. You can add subscriptions and recurring expenses manually, convert them into monthly/yearly cost, see likely waste, and decide what to cancel, review, or keep. No bank connection is required for the first check.
The product started as a broader finance tracker, but while building it I realized the sharper pain was simple:
“Where is my money silently going every month?”
So this launch focuses on leak detection first — subscriptions, UPI AutoPay, renewals, receipts, and spending cleanup.
I’d love feedback on 3 things:
1. Is the “money leak” framing clear?
2. What recurring expense do you forget most often?
3. Would you trust a manual-first finance app more than one that asks for bank access upfront?
Thanks for checking out Essara 🙏
