Biometric Authentication Factor for SSO

Entry is a FaceID for desktops. It enables users to securely authenticate online using regular webcams with no compromise to privacy and security. Add Entry to your Single Sign-On provider as a factor and authenticate by face, just like on a mobile device.

Hey Product Hunters 👋 I’m Emil, a co-founder of XIX.ai. I'm here with our team and we are excited to launch here Entry -  Biometric Identity Provider for the Web. It enables organizations to secure their SSO solutions by adding biometrics as an additional authentication factor. What we are solving 🐟 The second factors today are either convenient but easily phishable (SMS) or  phishing-resistant, but inconvenient, “stealable,” and/or expensive (FIDO keys) 👣 Biometrics has always been a holy grail of cybersecurity. But it required specialized sensors (fingerprints, FaceID, Hello) and was only available on a limited number of devices until today.  The Solution 😃 Face as a factor. Entry is a true biometric identity provider designed to protect user privacy, provide a proverbial 10x user experience and the highest security assurance. Over the past few years, we’ve been working hard, solving fundamental underlying challenges such as hardware dependency, privacy, various spoofing attacks, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. This is what we've accomplished: 🖥 It works with regular 2D web cameras. If a device can conduct a zoom call, Entry supports it. 👻 We’ve developed several layers of anti-spoofing to make sure Entry is secure. 📈 We’ve architected a compute and DB infrastructure so that quality does not decay with more vectors stored and processing costs are on par with traditional software products. 🛡 End-user accounts are created separately from the boundaries of apps, SSO, or sites. We designed it in such a way that a) end-users have full control to grant and revoke access to orgs, sites, and apps b) biometrics live separately from the IdP layer, are only accessible by end-user actions, and can be deleted with the click of a button. How to Try We’ve rolled out an Okta instance with Entry enabled as a factor. This will allow experiencing the process end-to-end without having an SSO solution. If you’d like to set up Entry for your Okta SSO, please let us know. The setup process takes ~15 min, and we can walk you through it. (self-service set-up is on the product map) 🤝 Supported SSO Providers Entry supports Okta SSO right out of the gate. Other Identity providers are currently working on enabling SAML 2.0 or OIDC as a factor. Any service provider that supports external IdPs (federation) can use Entry either through SAML or the OpenID Connect standard.

Great stuff! I wish I could use it with all the apps and platforms available! This is a future of identification :)

@yulia_darmorez thank you! we are aiming towards that :) one step at a time

We use two-factor a lot for security reasons, and this is an amazing improvement, no hassle with phone notifications, very easy to add new people, pretty view) Of course, it is necessary to extend Entry's integration with different services and platforms, because Data Security is more relevant than ever! Great job, XIX!

@e_abrosimov Thanks! What platform would help you the most?

Looks like something from science fiction, gonna send it to my team!
