This looks promising, but I'm afraid (as with all music discovery apps), that you don't pull from any resources that are in the genres I like. Where are you getting the music previews from? I listen to instrumental beats (http://somafm.com/fluid/) and futuresynth (https://www.reddit.com/r/futures...) mostly and would love it if this can help me discover more artists in those genres.
@unseenvision I know what you're saying, Kavinsky is one of my favorite artists. Currently the previews come from Spotify and the closest to your taste in Enso is "electronic". We are designing some smart filtering to get closer to individual taste but we need to be careful with the UX. It's all up to the feedback we get, so thanks for that.
@ivosabev - Have you considered allowing for filtering by month or year, or allowing users to restrict results to "recent" tracks from within the last 3 months or so? When I think of music discovery I do want the occasional older track but mostly I'm looking for fresh novel artists (like FKA Twigs who is included in your App Store preview) that I can dive deeper into and potentially see live in the near future. This approach would also benefit active artists around their new releases by referring listeners. For a music discovery platform to be successful it needs to benefit both artists and listeners, in my opinion.
@nickrizz Definitely! The feedback from the users is that when they make a discovery they put a mental tag in relation to the date, place, context etc. So chronological filtering is something we seriously consider with our next release.
Hey love your product. Love the integration with Spotfiy/Apple so I can create playlists or follow artists. Curious about two things:
1. How do you select the songs?
2. Are you sorting by genre? Rock and Indie is saturated with similar products like yours, but Jazz and the other genres need some love. Any thoughts?
3. Do you work with curators? Bloggers GorrilaVBear, MyOldKentuckyBlog to help with music selection.
THANKS, Great product! Russ
@russeisenman
1 & 3. We use the help of in-house curators. In the future we may partner with the bloggers/curtors you are mentioning. How it actually works is that we have created a technology to recommend "quality" songs, then our curators handpick the best stuff, and then the user is the ultimate curator.
2. Currently we sort by mixed genre & context activity e.g. jazz, electronic, dinner, focus etc. but this will change soon as we received some good feedback from our users.
Lots of development plans on the roadmap!
Thanks for the feedback!

Hey @ivakhovs and @angeln! What are the chances you'll let users save the songs into a "Probation Playlist" of sorts? I love the app, but saving songs directly to my library in Spotify causes me to be more reluctant with my likes.
@ggarnhart Hey Greg, great idea! We will think how we can implement a buffer between the discovery and the listening experience so that you get more room to decide. Thanks a lot!
@brunolemos You can go back to the lastplayed (previous) song by shaking the phone. Thanks for the feedback, we could think of implementing such a feature.

Love this! Being able to play in the background is brilliant. I don't use Spotify much, is there a way for it to automatically create a playlist on the Spotify app? I have the free version at the moment.
@techtom10 Thanks Tom! Connecting Enso to your Spotify account (from settings menu) automatically transfers all your likes to Spotify. There you can find them in - Your Music/Playlists/Liked from Enso -. In Spotify you can further arrange them into other playlists or just shuffle listen.

Hey Ivo! Enso has come a long way since I last saw it. Gorgeous website! Keep up the good work and I'll leave you with the obligatory: when can I get it on Android? :)
@cecilkleine absolutely! From a small hack at the TNW Hack Battle in Amsterdam, to a real an iOS app, and the hardest is just starting. Android is on its way, so stay tuned :)
