EmCon is a short-range voice communication app for convoys, riders and nearby groups. Create or join a group by QR or reference code, communicate with push-to-talk or voice detection, see members on a live map, and stay connected even when internet or cellular coverage is unavailable. If a group separates, smaller groups can keep communicating and reconnect automatically when they come back within range.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built EmCon around a simple problem: people moving together often need to communicate at exactly the moment when conventional communication becomes inconvenient or unreliable.
Motorcycle and bicycle convoys, off-road groups, outdoor teams and field crews may be physically close to each other, yet still struggle to communicate because of weak cellular coverage, internet interruptions, distance within the group, or incompatible communication equipment.
EmCon is my attempt to make that communication simpler. Nearby users can create or join a group, communicate using push-to-talk or voice detection, see the group on a live map, and continue communicating without depending on an internet connection or cellular base station.
A major focus during development has been continuity while moving. If a convoy separates, smaller groups can continue communicating, and when they come back within range the connection can recover automatically.
I’m continuing to improve EmCon based on real-world use and feedback. I’d especially appreciate feedback from riders, cyclists, outdoor groups, field teams and anyone who has experienced communication problems while moving as a group.
Thanks for checking it out — I’d be happy to answer any questions.
