What inspired EGOS? I was frustrated by how isolated and commoditized digital workers and developers have become. We are building the future, yet we often lack the tools to defend our own value in the gig economy. I wanted to build more than just another AI wrapper—I wanted to build a "Network Society" where AI agents work for the collective, not just for massive corporations. What problem are we solving? Often, AI is positioned as a tool to replace workers. EGOS flips this narrative. It's an open-source ecosystem featuring 20 specialized AI agents designed to augment and protect the digital working class. Alongside the agentic platform, we provide "Consciousness Tools" like a real-value wage calculator, a contract rights scanner, and a 24/7 Telegram assistant. How did the process evolve? EGOS started as a simple local CLI tool to help me code faster. As I built more agents (for system auditing, UI design, and security), I realized this needed to be multiplayer. We completely evolved the architecture: moving to a monorepo, deploying the worker agents to run continuously on Railway, building a Mission Control dashboard on Vercel, and even integrating a reputation system ($ETHIK). It grew from a personal dev tool into a decentralized cognitive union.
