Hey everyone! Thanks for dropping by to find out what Echosec is all about. How do you find relevant social media today? I'd guess keywords. Whilst that is useful, you're still missing out on so much useful data. When people post on social media, their first thought is not how to make it easy to search for others. So that's why we created a product that allows you to search for social media in a whole new way. By location first. We allow you to quite literally draw a box around an area on a map, and find data coming from currently 10 different platforms - including Twitter, Instagram, Vktontakte (Russia's Facebook) and Sina Weibo (China's Twitter) + many more. @thedimmick Hi Steve. Great question. Hoot suite, for example, is regarded as one of the best social media management systems around with currently 7 million users worldwide. We even use it ourselves! But we aren't looking to compete, but looking to add a different dimension when searching social media. These tools are great for monitoring social media when you know what you are looking for, but for when you don't Echosec can be a great way to find out what people are talking about in an area you're interested in e.g. music festivals, airports, rugby tournaments etc

Good to see you on here, Echosec. I've been playing with your site for a while and am impressed by its power. Are there any particularly good use cases?

I particularly find it useful for monitoring large scale events e.g. Six Nation games, where you can monitor what people are saying that in the area, pulling in from 10+ social media platforms. That way you can identify people to engage with who are in the area/attending the game. Great for selling extra merchandise. If only there was someone who made customised merchandise rapidly (insert RampCommerce)
