Own a 2-4 flat in Chicago? Ask DwellerIQ any RLTO question and get an answer with the § citation. Built by a solo founder who read the ordinance so you don't have to. Free 7-day trial. Helpful information, not legal advice.

Hey Product Hunt, Robert here. I'm a solo founder in Chicago, and I'm not a landlord. I built DwellerIQ after watching Chicago landlords in online groups trade confident, conflicting answers about the same ordinance, and seeing general AI chatbots do the same thing.
So I read the Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO) and the Illinois statutes that sit next to it. Then I built a chat grounded in the current text, where every answer names the section it relies on so you can check it yourself. It also drafts notices like the 5-day notice to pay rent for you to review and serve.
A few things to know:
- Chicago, on purpose. It knows which rules apply to which building. If you live in your own 2 to 6 flat, most of the RLTO doesn't apply to you, but Illinois law still does, and DwellerIQ answers with the rules that actually cover your building. I'd rather be narrow and right than broad and vague.
- Helpful information, not legal advice. For anything contested, talk to an attorney.
- It's just me. Bug reports go straight to me.
7-day free trial (card required, cancel before day 8 and you pay nothing). I'd especially love feedback from Chicago landlords: is the compliance scorecard useful, or noise? Tell me the truth.
