Hello all. This was a fun side project I've been working on the past couple weeks. There are a ton of task list apps out there, but none really quite fit what I wanted to use. Duolist is a super simple way to create task lists that you can complete by yourself or with friends. When you share a list, all actions on the list will instantly sync with everyone currently viewing that list. Currently it is just a responsive web app, but an iOS app is on the way!

Love the clean design, @rickharrison, but I have to ask: does the world need yet another to-do list? :) Curious how this compares to others and why you decided to work on this project.

I asked myself that same question too :). I decided to work on this because everything I tried felt too bloated or didn't work as fast as I wanted it to. Having changes sync instantly between devices even when it was just one person using it was really important to me. On top of that, I thought a cool twist would be to allow you to share a list with any number of people and never lose that responsiveness feel. And at the end of the day, it only took a couple weeks and it was a great way to experiment with Ember and Firebase. I use to-do lists all day and I am primarily using duolist with myself. However, the few lists that I am sharing with friends works really well and I hope it speaks for itself after you try it.

The real-time, social aspect of this is what intrigues me. It helps keep you accountable and motivate people to GSD. Maybe you could tie in a daily or weekly summary of what you and your friends accomplished, similar to iDoneThis cc'ing the founder, @smalter.

@rrhoover @rickharrison I confess, i use xpad http://getxpad.com/ for my todolist.

@ozguralaz Before I made this, I ended up using TextEdit a lot. I'd love to hear your feedback if you try it out.

Cool! Astrid did this to great effect and got the much-coveted suburban soccer mom demographic on board -- mom sharing the grocery list with dad, etc. Mobile is big here. I'm not sure the iDoneThis-like summary is as useful here because I suspect these are more likely to be throwaway lists than things that aggregate into a high-signal archive. Thanks for the shoutout my d00dz @rrhoover.
