What do you think? …

Masatoshi Koeda

Hi PH! I’m a solo dev and a Notion nerd.

I built dumppp because I was tired of losing ideas to mobile loading screens. As a father, I didn’t want to make my daughter wait just to capture a quick thought.

We focused on eliminating even the 0.5s lag that kills "flow". After reaching #2 in r/ProductivityApps, 70+ beta testers helped me refine this into a "Personal OS".

Core Philosophy:

  • Optimistic UI: Your thoughts reflect instantly; sync happens silently.

  • Context-Aware: Tabs automatically handle your complex Notion properties.

  • No Middle Server: Purely a front-end client for maximum privacy.

I’d love to hear from you: What is the single most frustrating thing about using Notion on your smartphone right now?

Van de Vouchy
Hey Masatoshi, that moment of making your daughter wait just to capture a quick thought before it disappears really paints the picture. Was there a specific idea you lost to that loading screen?
Masatoshi Koeda

@vouchy

That’s a great question! It wasn't just one specific idea, but rather a constant stream of "lost sparks."

Actually, the whole idea for dumppp started when I was trying to build a completely different app for child-rearing records. While taking care of my infant daughter, I’d constantly come up with new features or improvements, but I’d forget them the moment I got distracted because I couldn’t record them fast enough.

I love Notion, but I could never bring myself to use the mobile app for quick captures, and opening a laptop while looking after a baby is impossible. Now, thanks to dumppp, I can finally capture every thought the moment it hits me!

By the way, because of this experience, I’m currently developing an Apple Watch version. It’ll allow for voice-to-text capture via complications, so I won't even need to pick up my phone while holding my daughter!

I am overloaded with notes in my Apple notes and have far too many. It’s a huge plus that I can see the note headers at a glance. It’s gonna make it so much easier to scan and find what I need.

Thanks for the support! I totally get the Apple Notes struggle—it's easy to lose track when things pile up. Glad to hear the header view is helpful for your workflow. Do you usually organize by projects or just dates?

Thanks for the upvotes, everyone! I built dumppp because I was tired of Notion's slow loading time when I just wanted to save a quick thought.

Quick question: What’s your biggest "friction" when capturing notes into Notion? Is it the loading speed, or something else?

Dima Braven (itmeo.com)
Good idea, but I've tried to login and it doesn't work😓 and one more thing, please no subscription model, make lifetime payment for $10 and $19 when u will add more features, but monthly payment for app like this is a waste of time tho

Hi there, thanks for checking out dumppp and for the feedback!

First, I’m really sorry to hear you're having trouble logging in. To help me fix this ASAP, could you let me know which login method you used and if there was a specific error message? I want to make sure the experience is smooth for everyone.

Regarding the pricing, I hear you on the "subscription fatigue." The reason for the current model is to ensure I can keep maintaining the Notion integration and server costs over the long term. That said, the free tier is designed to be quite functional on its own, so I’d love for you to give it a spin once we get that login issue sorted!

I'll definitely keep your thoughts on a lifetime option in mind as I develop more features. Thanks again!
