Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built DSA Trainer because I kept running into the same problem while studying data structures and algorithms: I had LeetCode open on one monitor and ChatGPT on the other. I wasn’t asking for answers. I was constantly trying to get ChatGPT to explain the concept, give me hints, walk me through the pattern, and help me understand why the optimal approach worked without just dumping the solution. I ended up building DSA Trainer that follows the learning path I was fighting with stateless AI sessions to achieve. The DSA Course starts from the foundations of each data structure -> drills you on it -> tests you on it -> then gives you LC problems with a guided hint ladder that explains the why of the optimal approach and how to dissect the problem on the left side with the code editor right there on the right side. 241 lessons with 150 guided problems across 17 units starting from the basics of Big-O notation, hash maps, two pointers, sliding window, prefix sum, recursion, binary search, linked lists, stacks and queues, trees and binary search trees, heaps and priority queues, union-find, graphs(BFS & DFS), greedy, sorting, dynamic programming, and bit manipulation. The System design foundations course follows the same progressive learning path with 20 units and starting from 'How system design interviews work' through the request path, API design basics, back-of-envelope estimation, SQL VS NoSQL, transactions & ACID, database indexing, caching, load balancing, availability & failover, replication, sharding / partitioning, consistent hashing, message queues, pub/sub vs queues, CAP & consistency, rate limiting, real-time & push, search & the inverted index, and blob storage & CDNs. The goal is simple: help people build strong foundations before jumping into interviews. Would love feedback from anyone learning DSA, preparing for interviews, or teaching beginners.

One thing that would really help me is a way to bookmark the exact hint level I reached on a problem so I can come back to it later without losing my spot. Right now I think progress resets if I close the tab, and that breaks the flow when I'm chipping away at a problem across a few days.

@fatih915449 Noted! Bookmarking hints/steps is an awesome idea. I can have progress pick up from the latest bookmark, and also add a tab with all bookmarked hints/steps so someone can review only what they need and force the recall of the remainder of the steps. I will add this to the features list!

I will also check on the storing of progress and submissions. Code typed should be stored and recalled from the DB if you have an account, but I don't believe explanation/hint card progress is stored. I'll look into it!

Love that it starts with the concept instead of jumping straight to the solution, and the progressive hints actually make me think before giving in. The system design course is a nice bonus too.
