What if images had a stock price? I built a web app around it. Most finance tools show you numbers. DriftDrift shows you movement. Each image becomes a live object β its momentum determined by how the crowd votes, built by a designer so every decision came from how it feels to look at, not how it works. Just drift.

Started as an art installation in Venice. The idea was simple: what if you could feel the market instead of read it? Four months later it's a working product. Designer-built, not developer-built β which means every decision came from how it feels to look at, not just how it works. Would love brutal feedback from anyone who tries it.
tried a few rounds, the rise fall binary forces a real decision in a way that longform rating systems never do.. cool
@p_j17Β that's exactly the tension I wanted to preserve, it's not a prediction tool, it's a mirror. The binary vote was a deliberate choice: no stars, no sliders, just a position. Forces you to commit. Thanks for trying it, brutal feedback still welcome if anything felt off :)
The not developer angle is interesting, what did you actually have to give up because of it ?
@incaseofΒ Quite a bit, realtime financial data feeds, proper APIs, anything that required server infrastructure I couldn't fully reason about. The market in DriftDrift is the crowd voting on images, not actual price data, partly by choice partly because the alternative was beyond me. I'm still not sure where one ends and the other begins. Thanks for asking
