does it work offline once loaded, or do i need a connection the whole time i'm sketching?

@duyguridapagq it doesn't expire until you delete cookies from your browser. so yes your drawings are safe even if close the tab.
How does the auto-save actually work if I switch to a different browser or device, since it's stored locally?
@suatkzs0 yes auto-save works for the device only as no data leaves device.
Loaded it up and drew a quick floor plan for rearranging my apartment, the infinite canvas handled it without lag. No signup or download was a nice surprise, makes it easy to send a link to my partner and keep editing together.

the auto-save to localStorage is such a smart call, especially since you skipped the sign-up step entirely. opens instantly and nothing gets lost, which is exactly what a sketch app should feel like.
