Hey Product Hunt! I'm Eric, and I built Doomstep. Doomstep started as an app for one person: lock the apps that eat your day, and walk to earn your time back. Then I got the idea to do it with a friend. It's more fun with someone, it turns into a challenge, and it's a lot harder to skip a walk when someone else is counting on your steps. So I built Together, a joint account for screen time. How it works: pick the apps you want to use less, like Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, and they stay locked until you walk. Every 100 steps earns 1 minute. Spend minutes on a 5, 15 or 30 minute break, and when it ends the apps lock again, even if Doomstep is closed. With Together, you pair up with one friend and both deposit steps into one shared bank. Either of you can spend the minutes. You see each other's steps and minutes, never each other's apps. You can ask your friend to walk now, watch both step counts climb, and send postcards from the walk. Going solo works too, with a weekly leaderboard, walk receipts and a Day off you earn after four goal days in a row. iPhone only for now (US, Canada and Australia), with a 7-day free trial.
