Hey Product Hunt! I'm Mohammad, a mobile developer, and Dodast started from an annoyingly small problem: a friend and I wanted to listen to the same song together, we had to share one earbud each, and we couldn't immerse ourselves in the music. That tiny mismatch bugged me enough to spend way too long actually fixing it. Dodast is a local-file music and video player — you load the songs, albums, and video files you already own, and it plays them like any other player. The real trick is what happens when a second device joins: any phone, tablet, or laptop on the same Wi-Fi network can join a session, and Dodast keeps every one of them playing in step with each other. The part I'm most proud of is video sync, which just shipped on both platforms. Play the same clip across multiple screens and the lips actually match the audio, no matter which device you're watching from — that was the hardest problem in the whole project.
