Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Dividend Decoder because I kept running into the same problem while researching income funds for myself.
The headline yield was always easy to find. But whenever I wanted to understand whether that income actually made sense, I had to manually check a lot of other things: price trend, dividend history, total return, drawdown, volatility, and whether the fund looked more like an income source, a growth holding, or just a yield trap.
Existing finance sites are useful for raw data, charts, quotes, news, and broad ratings. But for income-fund research, I still felt like I had to connect too many pieces manually before I could understand the role a fund might play.
Dividend Decoder is my attempt to make that process more structured.
It runs monthly quant analysis on ETFs, REITs, BDCs, and other income-focused funds, then turns price and dividend history into easier-to-read signals like payout support, price trend, total return, stability, and positioning.
It is not meant to give buy/sell advice. The goal is to help income investors look beyond yield alone and make the research process less scattered.
I’d appreciate feedback on whether the reports are easy to understand, which signals feel useful or confusing, and what comparison features would make this more helpful.
