Appreciate the feedback, Ryan! And thank you Brian for sharing.
We knew users primarily use their phones vertically, so we decided to let the videos fill up the entire vertical frame. We also knew other video sharing apps sometimes produced low quality videos due to compressing the files so much, so we made sure each video is recorded at HD quality.
I have other points about Diveo that I believe make it stand out among other social video sharing apps, but I don't want to write a wall of text here unless people ask for it.
If anyone has questions, comments, or feedback, I'm happy to have a conversation!
Happy to do it. I came across Diveo on 1871 -- and its really great looking site and easy to use app. Only critique I would say is the "bounce" interaction is longer than it probably should be. So when you get around in the app, sometimes you have to wait for that when you're ready to go to the next thing (could just be a simple fade or ease). Overall though, really digging it!
