Again, it’s awesome and you should get it. You can even comment on websites without a comments section! Did I mention they won’t ban you for saying “the wrong thing”?
Pros:It’s awesome. You can participate in conversations on any website without needing yet another spam account.
Cons:None
Long, long-time Firefox user, switched to Dissenter a few weeks ago because FF discontinued the Dissenter extension. I'm very pleased w/ the switch.
Pros:It's fast! no tracking, Dissenter comment section is included.
Cons:none
Brave was a great concept and product, but now a new steward is better positioned to realize the original goals.
Pros:Foundation on protecting free speech and user choice, fast browser with no bullshit included.
Cons:It's new, not yet signed on Windows or Mac, no auto-update, but it will get there.
All you need to know is to get it. It doesn't matter who you are, it's not catered to anyone. It's a platform that you want to get started on as it won't just turn around one day and decide you're not allowed to exist. Its TOS is based on US law, not the whims of an out of touch and too powerful CEO.
Pros:Works flawlessly, blocks ads, no corporate or advertiser influence, free speech.
Cons:Its improving all the time and at this point I know of no other service that bases itself in free speech like Dissenter.
Dissenter is a Chromium-based browser forked from Brave. It removes additional Google telemetry Brave hasn’t yet, along with the friendly-only-to-certain-advertisers BAT “utility token”. In its place Gab is adding additional measures against censorship, Chinese-style “social currency” oppression, unpersoning attacks, and literal psychological manipulation by big tech outlets who’ve admitted to doing these things in the press. Dissenter is about you having the power to speak your mind, use the extensions you want, see the content you want, and support the creators you want. Open debate is required as a prerequisite to a free and educated society, and more and more today open debate is being quashed by Commercial and political interests who believe they are somehow better positioned to judge what information you should have access to, or be allowed to express, than you are. Dissenter exists to keep them from doing it. And it happens to work pretty well as web browsers go besides.
Pros:Built-in privacy, adblock, will use BTC to let you contribute to creators, Dissenter “comment section” on every page
Cons:Source not yet public, nothing like Firefox Multiple Account Containers (yet)
Fate of Western Civilization depends on breaking the stranglehold the Corporate Globalists have on our speech, and therefore our ability to make informed politcal and democratic decisions. The survey only allows me a choice between "one month" and "one years". I've used Dissenter for about 6 months.
Pros:Allows you to state your opinions without being controlled and suppressed by the Globalists and the Politically Correct
Cons:Not enough participation. Early adopters are typically more politically extreme than the average person.
