Hi everyone, I'm Danish, the founder of Discern.
I've always felt that shopping takes more time than it should. Most of us don't know the exact product we want, we just know what we're looking for.
That's why I started building Discern. You describe what you want, and it helps you decide what to buy.
Right now we're starting with fashion, and there's still a lot to improve. I'd love to hear what you think, what feels useful, what doesn't, and what you'd change.

A comparison mode would be really useful, like letting me add two or three options side by side and see how Discern weighs them against each other. That way I can actually use it when I'm torn between a couple of products instead of just getting a single recommendation.

@feyza1144590 Thanks for the suggestion! We actually have this already. You can press and hold a product to add it to Fabrics (ask fabrics), then compare it with multiple products side by side. We’d love to hear what you think after trying it.

One thing that would help me trust the recommendations more is showing the specific pros and cons it pulled from each review, not just an overall score. Maybe let me click into a summary breakdown so I can see why it ranked one option over another. That would make the decision feel less like a black box.

@araczeliha97691 Thanks for the feedback!, Will work on that, exactly the direction we’re heading. We want every recommendation to be fully transparent, so you can see the reasoning, the supporting reviews, and why one product ranks above another.

It would be really helpful if Discern could let me save products I'm comparing and come back to them later, maybe with a short note about why I'm stuck between them. Sometimes I leave the app to think and forget which two laptops I was narrowing down.

@yarenulte Thanks for the idea! You can already save products to your Bag and come back to them later. Saving collections or comparison sessions is something we’d like to add in the future.

Tried it while debating between two pairs of running shoes and it actually cut through my indecision by surfacing stuff I hadn't thought to look for. Felt like chatting with a friend who researches everything before buying.

Tried it with some new running shoes i was eyeing and it actually pointed out a few things i hadn't considered, like the drop and cushioning differences between two similar models. Honestly saved me from overthinking it.
