Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Yehor, one of the makers behind Digital Original XR. This started from a simple frustration: digital art always loses something on a flat screen. Scale disappears, detail flattens. A two-meter piece and a thumbnail look almost identical in a feed. We wanted to bring back the feeling of actually standing in front of a work. So we built an immersive art viewer for Meta Quest. The core idea: as you walk closer to a piece, higher-resolution detail loads in — texture, brushwork, the things you never see in a thumbnail. The same tiling logic that powers map apps, applied to art. You can: - View art at full scale in VR, or place it on your real walls in passthrough (AR) - Build your own rooms, arrange works, and invite people in with voice chat - Browse public rooms, or open private ones by code This was our first XR project, and spatial design humbled us — almost none of our 2D design intuition transferred. Distance became a design tool. Performance on standalone headsets was a constant balancing act between high-resolution detail and other factors. One part that meant a lot to us: the app hosts a large collection of digitized Ukrainian art — over 7,000 works preserved at full fidelity. It's completely free.
