Hey Product Hunt, I'm Bogdan, and I built Diaroq because I'm tired of the internet's two default modes: the curated one, where everyone's doing great, and the anonymous one, where people say the ugliest things because nobody can see them in real life. Neither one is honest. Most of us are just trying to figure ourselves out somewhere in between those two. Diaroq is a diary first - write for yourself, nobody sees it unless you say so. But when you want to, you can drop an entry into a shared feed with no name attached. Not to perform, not to vent anonymously at someone, just to say the true thing out loud for once. And on the other side, you get to read what other people are actually carrying, not what they post everywhere else. No streaks to protect, no followers to impress, no name required unless you want one. Just people being real for a few minutes. It's live now at diaroq.com/en, free to use, and works in English and Ukrainian. Genuinely curious: what's something you've never actually said out loud to anyone? Guess I should go first since I asked. Mine's something like this: I've been terrified this whole time that I'd launch this and nobody would care - and I kept building anyway, because writing it all down for myself was already worth it even if no one else showed up. Never actually said that part out loud until now.

Should old entries be editable, or does that break the honesty?

Right now you can go back and edit or delete anything you've posted, private or anonymous. Feels right for privacy, nobody should be stuck with something they regret sharing. But it also means every entry can quietly get sanded down into something more flattering after the fact, which is basically the exact self-editing this app exists to get away from.

Torn on whether locking entries after some point is actually more honest, or just adds the same pressure back in through a different door.

How anonymous should "anonymous" be?

Working on Diaroq, stuck on a design call: when someone posts anonymously, should we show anything e.g. a timestamp, a mood emoji, a rough location, or should anonymous mean zero metadata, full stop?

Part of me thinks a little context stops entries from feeling like they're floating in a void. The other part thinks any extra detail chips away at the one promise that actually matters.
