Decant is a free tool that flips the usual wine-pairing question around — instead of "what wine goes with this food," you pick the wine first and get five real dishes built to match it. Just pick the style closest to your bottle (light red, full-bodied red, dry or rich white, rosé, or sparkling) and get full recipes with ingredients, timed steps, and nutrition. Every wine style also comes with destination guides in addition to the authentic recipes.
I built this after getting annoyed at how every wine-pairing tool works backwards from how people actually drink — you've already got the bottle open, and you're trying to figure out what to cook, not the other way around. So Decant starts with the wine. Pick a style, get five dishes that actually pair well, and it explains why in plain language rather than sommelier jargon. The destinations part came out of realizing people who like wine also tend to like the idea of where it's from, even if they're just cooking at home on a Tuesday. Feedback welcome, especially on which wine styles or dish types to expand next.
