Hi everyone! I'm Tyler, and I'm excited to be announcing Datawave today. After selling my first company, motionarray.com, I started looking at companies that were for sale for possible acquisitions. A lot of these companies were well built, well designed, and appeared to have a ton of potential. Why would the founders be selling them? As I dug deeper, I noticed a few common trends... 1. The companies were not growing quickly. 2. The founders had become bored and started something else. 3. Worst of all: THEY HAD NOT BEEN MARKETING. The idea that people are going to knock down your door after you finish building your product is a fallacy, and if you want to build a successful, sustaining company, you are going to need to market it. But makers like to build, and they don't like marketing. Marketing makes them uncomfortable. This is why I'm building Datawave. I want to help fellow founders and indie hackers market their startups, and grow them into long lasting successful companies. So far, we've built an expansive database filled with influencers, creators, communities and journalists, enabling you to establish connections and collaborate to spread the word about your company. You can.. Write guest blog posts... Sponsor Youtube videos... Be a guest on a podcast that your target audience listens to... Find affiliates to help promote your company.. Get journalists to feature your startup.. The list goes on. We're really just getting started, and we have tons of other features in the pipeline to help you market your startup with ease, so that you can spend most of your time building your actual product. Congrats on the launch! Is there more information about each creators and platforms available through the paid plan? This is something I think would elevate the product a lot from just being a curated contact list.
