I'm Brian, the creator of DailyLabel.
I built DailyLabel because I wanted an app that used the nutrition label to track my food intake throughout the day. I couldn't find an app that did this, so here we are. I'm tired of every app wanting to charge you every month for its full functionality. So I stuck with the one-time purchase to unlock all the app's features.
The core idea: take the Nutrition Facts label format that everyone already understands and make it your daily dashboard. Search or scan your food, and by the end of the day, you have a single label showing everything you ate.
A few things I'm proud of:
- Two food databases: USDA FoodData Central (government-verified) + Open Food Facts (millions of barcoded products). Every food item shows which database it came from, and if you can't find your food, you can manually add it. I've run into the issue with other apps where most of the data was right, but not all of it. I added the ability to edit the nutrient values if you need to make any adjustments.
- No subscription & no ads: $4.99 once.
- Privacy: No account required. Your data stays on your device and iCloud.
Would love your feedback.
