Hi Product Hunt 👋 d8 is NOT another dating app. There is no swiping. There are no matches. There aren't even any pics. Gen Z are burnt out from dating apps and are using IG and TikTok to connect romantically. But dating info is often missing from a social media profile. Campus? Age? Zodiac sign? Sexual Orientation? Relationship Status? Sense of humour? All unknown or have to be guessed. Almost 50% of Gen Z will not date someone with an incompatible astrological sign and 39% say bad taste in memes is a turn off. cool idea! how does it work for people with private accounts? like if i see someone in a friend's photo who looks cool, but their profile is private (& they have a d8in.bio), is there any way to see more info, eg a few public photos, before messaging them?
