Croptrove is a macOS screenshot and screen recording app. An on-device privacy shield finds card numbers, IBANs and API keys so you can hide them before you share. No watermark in the free version; nothing is uploaded. Pro is $19.99 once.

Hi everyone, Oğuzhan here, the maker of Croptrove.
The screenshots that worry me aren't the ugly ones. They're the ones with a card number, an IBAN or an API key in a corner that I didn't notice. I wanted my screenshot tool to catch those before I hit send, on my Mac, without uploading anything.
Press ⌘⇧4, drag over an area, and a small card shows the result. The privacy shield reads the text in the image on your Mac, finds card numbers, IBANs and API keys and covers them in the editor. You can undo any of them or switch to "Suggest only". Use Redact for anything that matters: blur and pixelate can be reversed, Redact can't. No detection is perfect, so take a quick look before you share.
Free: area, window and full-screen capture, the annotation editor with no watermark, the privacy shield, and MP4 recording with no time limit. 7-day history.
Pro: scrolling capture, GIF and recording trim, search text inside your captures, 14/30/90-day history, backgrounds, and 60 fps/HEVC recording. You can try Pro free for 14 days.
Pro is a one-time purchase: $19.99 for 1 Mac or $29.99 for 5 Macs. For Product Hunt it's 30% off with LAUNCH30 until Oct 31.
One heads-up: macOS uses ⌘⇧4 too, so on first launch Croptrove offers to take over the system screenshot shortcuts.
What do you still blur by hand before sending a screenshot?
