Critiqued: Actionable design critique has arrived

As creators, we know all too well how important critical feedback is in shaping our products and services. As makers of digital things, we also understand how critical first impressions and engaged adoption are to growing a sustainable business. Design quality plays a huge role in how our solutions are received and used. But, more often than not critical review is overlooked. Maybe we don’t have time to review the quality and meaningfulness of our designs, maybe we don’t have qualified team members to facilitate proper critiques, hell, maybe we don’t even know what proper design quality even is. I’ve worked on product design teams for over 15 years and I’ve never been apart of a team that didn’t have these ‘maybes’. Publishers hire editors to transform their author’s ideas into professional deliverables. Musicians hire producers to mentor their creativity and capture songs with maximum quality. I am starting Critiqued to inject this role into the digital design space. I want to help us, the creators and teams capture and transform their ideas into well crafted and polished deliverables. Deliverables that actually make impactful first impressions and continually engage our customers.
