I was inspired by my time as a music artist and getting reviewed from live streamers. I decided to create a quick way to get feedback from an unbiased reviewer (an AI) to provide insights to better my songs. But I also thought that A&R teams are often swamped with music submissions from budding artists, so how can we cut 50% of their time, so they can listen to the best songs from the pile? With CriticAI, we do just that. Songs are analyzed by a relatively unbiased reviewer, an AI. After an analysis, the A&R team can decide whether to move forward with the song or pass. Simply put, we are building the future infrastructure of the music discovery pipeline by saving time and money for labels, managers, etc.

This is such a thoughtful application of AI! Out of curiosity, have you noticed any unexpected patterns in how CriticAI evaluates genres like hyperpop or experimental electronic? I imagine those could be tricky for AI to analyze accurately compared to more traditional genres.

@ha_anh_nguyen Thank you, Anh! That's a good point, I'm still tinkering on how to approach experimental, production-heavy tracks, but thanks for bringing it up. I believe the beta version of the project is fairly limited at this time, but I believe that in due time, it'd be able to interpret the aforementioned genres better.
