I'm Vishal, a designer + engineer of 25 years, and I made Crit. What inspired it: every good thing I've ever designed came from harsh, specific critique. A senior voice saying "this isn't working, and here's exactly why." That voice is the most valuable thing in design, and almost no one has access to it. Meanwhile AI got very good at generating screens and very bad at telling you the truth about them. Ask most tools for feedback and you get a pat on the head: "great hierarchy, nice contrast!" Useless. The problem: anyone can generate a design now. Far fewer can tell what's actually worth shipping. I wanted to put 25 years of design judgment in your pocket. Not "looks good." The one thing that's off, and why it matters. How it evolved: Crit started as a design critique tool in Figma. Then people pasted in pitch decks, then resumes, then product screens, and the same judgment held. So it grew into three sides of one advisor: Crit for design, Form for resumes, Forge for product. I built it AI-fast but kept the judgment in the loop the entire way, which is the whole point. And I made it blunter over time, because polite feedback is the kind you ignore.
