Hey everyone! 👋
I built CredZero because I was drowning in my own finances — juggling 5-6 credit cards plus a few EMIs running in parallel, and honestly just losing track of due dates, how much I'd paid, and how much was left.
The bigger problem though: friends occasionally use my cards, and their spends pile up right alongside mine. Without separating that out, it looked like I was overspending when really it was someone else's tab. I wanted a clean way to see my actual financial picture, not a blended mess.
Privacy was non-negotiable for me too. Sync is off by default — you only turn it on if you want periodic backups or to sync across devices. Nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly ask it to.
On the build side — I've vibe-coded a bunch of side projects with different AI agents, and most fizzled out because they never found real purpose. This one stuck because I kept coming back to it myself, every week, because I actually needed it. That's usually the signal that something's worth shipping.
I went back and forth on native vs. hybrid for a while, but landed on: just build the thing. A web app was the fastest, most frictionless way to get this into people's hands and validate it. If it finds traction, native iOS/Android builds are next.
Would love to hear how you currently track shared card usage or EMIs — curious if others have hacky spreadsheet systems like I did before this. 🙂
